Shipping and Return Policy

New England Birdhouse specializes in architectural birdhouses, offering handcrafted custom and stock replica birdhouses. We have a variety of backyard birding supplies, handcrafted gifts, garden decor, and Uniquely New England artisan wares. We feature over 2500 unique items at our online store, and have a local staff of client service specialists focused on providing excellent customer service.

Our goal is to provide our customers with a pleasant, convenient and hassle-free online shopping experience. New England Birdhouse expects 100% satisfaction, and we stand behind our products and our customers.

Shipping Information

New England Birdhouse ships throughout the continental United States of America. We do not ship to military APO addresses, and foreign countries. Orders are promptly processed, with in-stock items shipping within 1-2 business days. Custom or personalized items ship dates vary, with detailed shipping information noted on the item description page. For more information about the ship date of a particular item, please email us. All items in an order must be shipped to the same address, and cannot be split between separate delivery addresses. Please note that all items ordered are not necessarily shipped together.

Our standard shipping method is domestic ground shipping. Express/rush shipping is available for an extra charge. Please email our local customer service specialists for more information about express shipping for a particular item.

Free Shipping Information

New England Birdhouse offers Free Shipping on minimum orders of $50 or more. The offer is good on Standard Ground shipping to continental U.S. deliverable addresses only. Additional shipping charges for large or heavy items still apply, and you will be contacted after completing your order, by a customer service representative should freight or additional shipping charges beyond standard ground delivery apply.

To qualify for free shipping, order total must be greater than $50 (tax for MA residents is not included in the qualifying total), delivery is standard ground delivery, lower 48 US states only, and all items in the order must be shipped to the same delivery address. Offer cannot be used on prior purchases. New England Birdhouse reserves the right to exclude certain items from this promotion. Free shipping is automatically calculated at checkout, with no codes or additional steps necessary.

Return Policy Overview

30-Day Inspection Period.

If your selection does not meet your expectations, simply return it within our 30-day inspection period for an item exchange or refund of your purchase price. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error.

Please note that unless it's due to our error, this refund excludes the original shipping and handling fees. The customer pays return shipping on the original item, applicable restocking fees (varies by vendor) and shipping for the replacement item if it is an exchange.

Items must be returned in the original packaging, with the packing slip and material. Please email us your name, phone, email and order # to arrange for a return or exchange. After 30-days we reserve the right to refuse returns.

Please email us or call us at (800) 815-0062 and we will guide you through the process.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item. Refunds will made to the credit card which was originally processed. Please note that if the credit card has expired, refunds cannot be processed and a store credit will be given.

Damaged or Defective Items

If the item has a damaged or defective part, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer to see if they can have this part shipped directly to you. You can usually find contact information listed in the product manual that came with the item. Otherwise, email us and we'll ask you to indicate the number of items you're returning, the reason for return, and whether you would like a refund or a replacement item sent to you. A local customer service specialist will contact you by the close of the next business day.

Incorrect Items or Order Errors

If you received the wrong item or an item you didn't order please email us. We'll ask you to indicate your order #, the number of items you're returning, as well as whether they arrived instead of or in addition to items that you did order. We will also ask you whether you need a refund or a replacement sent to you.

Missing Items

If you are missing an item, please check the packing slip that was included with your shipment. In order to fill your order quickly and efficiently, we ship items from different fulfillment centers, sometimes splitting orders into multiple shipments. If this is the case, rest assured that you will not be charged any additional shipping costs beyond those you had originally authorized. Please email us for more information about a specific order.

Sales Tax Information

Massachusetts resident pay a 6.25% retail sales tax, which is collected during checkout.
