New England Birdhouse is the premier provider of custom birdhouses, hand-crafted with unique detail to the likeness of our clients’ homes. We create custom birdhouses for clients across the country, both for their own garden decor and as special gifts for occasions like birthdays, retirements or a housewarming.

Ordering a custom birdhouse from us is easy. First a production and shipping estimate is provided based on photos sent by our clients through email or regular mail. Once the estimate is accepted, our clients are added to our production queue, which generally has a 4-6 month wait. When construction begins on the handcrafted house, it is usually completed in 4-6 weeks. Generally, the production cost of our custom birdhouses ranges from $1,200 to $1,500.

We take great pride in the unique detail and craftsmanship of our custom birdhouses. Our birdhouses are constructed to stand up to a harsh outdoor environment, represent the beauty of our client’s home, and most importantly create a safe environment for the occupants.

• Durable construction and exterior grade finish

New England Birdhouse is based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and was started three years ago by Bill Askenburg. Bill is a stay-at-home dad, who combined his background in advertising and interest in woodworking and the outdoors to create and foster New England Birdhouse. Currently, the website is receiving more that 200% more visits than the previous year, and the inventory of work is booked six months in advance.
